How do I book, and how fast will I hear back?
Submit a request; Rachel & Blake confirm availability and total price within 24 hours. Booking is secured with a signed agreement and 50% deposit; the balance is due 30 days before arrival. No payment is taken with the request.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in 4:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM. Need an early check-in or late check-out? Ask when you request — we'll tell you what's possible for your dates.
How does sleeping for 18 actually work?
Two king primary suites for the trip planners, plus two large bunk rooms — everyone gets a real bed, no air mattresses. Ask us for the full bed-by-bed breakdown for your group.
Is the WiFi good enough for remote work and streaming?
The lodge has high-speed WiFi throughout. If your trip depends on a specific speed, ask us and we'll give you the details.
What's cell service like?
Spotty — that's common in this corner of Benzie County. WiFi calling works well on the lodge network, so set your phones up before you lose bars.
Are linens and towels provided?
Ask us when you book — we'll confirm exactly what's provided for your group and what to bring (beach and river towels are a good idea either way).
What's provided for the river?
Kayaks and river tubes are provided, at your own risk. Ask us about quantities, life jackets, and the local livery for longer floats — we'll point you right.
Can we ride ORVs or snowmobiles from the property? Where do trailers park?
Yes — direct ATV/UTV and snowmobile trail access from the driveway; the property borders Trail 39. Tell us how many trailers you're bringing and we'll confirm parking and logistics for your group. See the trail guide for permits and season dates.
Is the road accessible in winter? Do we need 4WD?
Northern Michigan winters are real. Tell us when you're coming and what you're driving — we'll give you straight answers about the road, plowing, and parking in snow.
How far to Crystal Mountain? Groceries? Restaurants?
Crystal Mountain is about 10–15 minutes away (roughly 8 miles). For a big group shop, plan a stop en route — ask us for the current best grocery options nearby and in Traverse City. Restaurant picks are in our area guide.
Is there a fire pit? Firewood?
There's a fire pit — and fires belong only in it. Ask us about firewood; either way, please don't transport firewood from other counties (Michigan invasive-species guidance).
Are pets allowed? Can we host an event?
No pets, and no events, parties, or weddings — the lodge is reserved for registered overnight guests, with quiet hours out of respect for our neighbors.
